LADIES TOURS SATURDAY MORNING

LADIES TOUR M – Tour of Manchester, Combining History, culture and regeneration. A guided tour, by an expert on the city of Manchester, taking in Chinatown, the Art Gallery,The Museum of Science and Industry, the Castlefield area, dating back to Roman times,Bridgewater Hall and the Town Hall. From the city centre you will be taken to Salford Quays to see The Imperial War Museum North, the regeneration of Manchester Docks and the proposed new site of Media City the home of the BBC in the North.There will be a coffee stop at the Quays.The tour will then head out to the Eastlands area of the city to see the venues used for the Commonwealth Games before returning to the city centre.
Depart: 8.45 Return: 12.30…12.50 per person

LADIES TOUR T – Tatton Park A country home from 15th Century to Victorian Times. Be whisked away to a different time. Enjoy the journey from the city centre to Tatton Park.After a short coffee break you will enter the grandeur of the Mansion.You will see the original furnishings and paintings belonging to the Egerton family and experience life in Victorian days, the Entrance Hall, Card Room, Music Room and Library before experiencing the servants’ quarters and the kitchen.

LADIES TOUR K – The Historic Town of Knutsford Drive from the city centre to the historic town of Knutsford.There will be a

Civic welcome to the town followed by coffee and a talk on the history of the town from the year 1250 onwards by Mrs Joan Leach the world expert on Elizabeth Gaskell who was a former resident of the town.This will be followed by a walking guided tour of the historic town before returning to the city centre.

Friday 16th May 2008 at Worsley Golf Club, Stableford Avenue, Eccles, Manchester, M30 8AP. A parkland course in delightful surroundings and a challenge to low and high handicappers alike. An 18 hole course of 6039 yards, Standard Scratch 71.
8.45am coffee and bacon rolls on arrival. Soup and sandwiches at the finish of the round. Please make your own transport arrangements to and from the course; location details provided. Cost 35. TRANSPORT A coach service will be provided to and from all Official Hotels (only) to Salford Cathedral on Thursday afternoon, to

the Civic Receptions on Friday evening (except the Midland, Radisson Edwardian and G-Mex Premier Inn Hotels) and the Saturday

night functions. In the interest of conserving costs and due to the proximity of many hotels to the Bridgewater Hall, no coaches will

be provided on Saturday and Sunday morning. Coaches will not be provided after the Manchester Circle Centenary Dinner.
