Rochdale Circle is the 72^nd Circle of the Catenian Association and was inaugurated on 19^th of February 1923 and will celebrate its 1,000^th circle meeting in May 2008.

We meet on the first Tuesday of the month at The Royal Toby Hotel on Manchester Road, Rochdale. We are usually joined by members from other circles for a short formal meeting, which lasts for no more than half an hour and this is quickly followed by a meal and socialising.
Visiting brothers should notify the dining secretary Ray Boles or Tony McNicholas by the Saturday before.

President’s Charity.
Each year, our incoming president nominates his preferred charity for the year and our picture shows Silvia and Brother President Edward presenting a cheque to Sr. Philomena and Fr. Wilson of the Catholic Children’s Rescue Society following our March 2007 meeting.

These funds are raised as part of our social activities. It should be pointed out that we are not an organisation geared towards major charitable activities and fund raising.
Our aim is to be a social organisation for Catholic men and for their families and, at the same time, to support and to encourage members to become involved in Catholic Action through the many lay Catholic organisations and to provide help and support to our clergy.
